There are lots of great events fro Architects in Devon,  and those interested in Architecture, taking place in Exeter, Plymouth and the rest of the South West, including Exmouth, Cornwall, Bath and Bristol over the course of the next month as part of the Love Architecture Festival. Getting involved with these events is a  fantastic opportunity to promote the Architectural profession and the important role that architecture plays in our everyday lives to the wider world. The are also great fun!

The Plymouth Love Architecture Events are:-

 -         Private screening of Jill Craigieʼs ʻThe Way We Liveʼ (1946):- Plymouth Arts Centre – Monday 24th June at 6pm followed by drinks and canapés – buy tickets here courtesy of the Plymouth Branch of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

-         Tea With an Architect:- Meet local Architects in Devon. Being held in the Plymouth Drakes Circus Shopping Centre Café (on the top floor) where the public are invited to come and have a free chat with an Architect when they buy a cup of tea. If you are interested in taking part in future ‘Tea With an Architect’ sessions giving free advice as an expert please email me for more details. Tea with an Architect is also taking place in Exeter where members of the public will be able to book to have  a free consultation with Exeter based RIBA Architects over a cup of tea.  

-         RIBA and the Plymouth Architectural Trust present Plymouth's Post War Walking TourSaturday 29th June 3pm leaving from ‘What’s the Future? Plymouth Plan Shop’, 71 New George, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 1RF. With thanks to the Plymouth Architectural Trust and the Plymouth Branch of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)

-         Plymouth University Faculty of Arts Degree Show:- The Preview Night takes place on Friday, 14th June, from 6.00pm. The exhibition itself will be open from Saturday 15th June until Wednesday 26th June. You can find exhibits by architecture students, alongside other disciplines on floors, 4, 5 and 6.

-         The Agency for Architectural Investigation: - This agency will participate in a number of practical tasks, which draw out and articulate ideas for the future of Plymouth, resulting ultimately in an alternative proposal for the development of the city. If you are interested in taking part and contributing to the future of the city of Plymouth, email education@plymouthartscentre.org. Sponsored by the Plymouth branch of the Roayla Institute of British Architects ( RIBA ).

-         Launch of RIBA Photography Competition 2013: - Friday 28th June TBC , ‘What’s the Future? Plymouth Plan Shop’, 71 New George, Plymouth, Devon, PL1 1RF.
